Jackie Brown

Jackie E. Brown, 72, of Boody, IL, passed away 11:03 p.m., Sunday, October 4, 2015, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 10, at Zion Chapel United Methodist Church, Boody, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Jackie was born January 19, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Jack and Mabel (Dubson) Ambroise. She married John Brown on January 26, 1974 in Boody, IL. Jackie was retired, but in the past had worked as an Administrative Assistant at the Holiday Inn for 10 years. She also worked as Transportation Coordinator for the Macon County Health Dept. for 10 years. She was a devoted animal lover, had a great sense of humor, and enjoyed making her famous fried chicken for her family. She will be loved and missed by many. She is survived by her husband of 41 years: John; children: Bert Sturgis II of Decatur, Teresa ( Chris) Sims of Bethany, Laurie (Butch) Burnett of Forsyth, Alicia (Sean) Rew of Danville, Amy Brown (Branden Henady) of Boody; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; sister Sharon Martin of Amelia Island, FL, Donna (David) Reinhardt of Decatur. The family would like to give a big "Thank You" to all the nurses and CNAs at Heartland, who loved our mother just as we did! Thank you to the comfort staff at DMH, who made sure she was at peace till the end. "
