Jack Pfeifer

Jack A. Pfeifer, 86, of Decatur, IL passed away on October 13, 2014 at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10:00am on Friday, October 17, 2014 at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, October 16, 2014 from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Jack was born on April 30, 1928 in Decatur, IL the son of George M. and Florence (Barger) Pfeifer. He married Ethel Louise Jacobs on Feb, 10, 1951 in Decatur, IL and she preceded in him in death in 1998. Jack then married Rosemary Janvrin Wickline Pfeifer on June 28, 1999 in Decatur, IL. Jack was a U.S. Marine serving in Korea. He worked for Wagner Castings for 40 years. Hobbies included fishing and hunting. Jack is survived by his wife Rosemary; three children; Allen D. (Faye) Pfeifer; Dennis L. (Kate) Pfeifer of Decatur, IL, and Roberta K. Pfeifer of Decatur, IL; one sister Ellen Marsh of Decatur, IL. Jack is also survived by seven grandchildren, and sixteen great-grandchildren. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, one wife, three brothers, and eight sisters.
