DEATH NOTICE Jack Oglesby, 61, of Decatur, IL passed away on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Decatur Memorial Hospital. There will be no services, cremation rites conducted by the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Jack was born on September 9, 1953 in Clinton, IL the son of Margorie Lee (Mills) Brown. Jack was a Vietnam War veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He worked as a millwright for TCR Systems at Tate & Lyle. He previously worked as chief engineer on ships in the shipyards in Seattle, WA. His hobbies included NASCAR, sports, sailing, and was a Bears and Cubs fan. Jack liked to bicycle and run, which included two marathons. He attended New Beginnings Church. Jack is survived by his three children; Mia Michelle Oglesby of Los Angeles, CA, Nicole Oglesby of Bloomington, IL, and Max Smith Oglesby of Mt. Sterling, IL. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Olivia Jane and Ryan William Lively both of Bloomington, IL; one brother, Kris Erwin (Cheryl) Oglesby of Decatur, IL; one sister, Lori Jo (Scott) Kramer of Maroa, IL; and companion Connie Sutherland and her daughter Connar of Mt. Zion, IL. Jack was preceded in death by his parents. "
