Jack Morrison

Jack “Don” Morrison, 95, of Decatur, died Sunday, June 3, 2018, at Fair Havens Christian Home. Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Thursday, June 7, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. The family requests casual attire. Burial will be in Mt. Gilead, Decatur, with Military Rites conducted by Macon County Honor Guard.Don was born March 30, 1923, in Mattoon, the son of Thomas Haywood and Helen Opal (Woodbridge) Morrison. He married Elgene Minnie Scott April 6, 1942. Don was a U.S. Army veteran and proudly served in WWII. He worked as a produce manager at A&P Foods for 42 years, and he enjoyed vegetable gardening and fishing. He was also a member of Central Baptist Church.Don is survived by his wife of 76 years, Elgene of Decatur; daughters, Donna (Bob) Bruner and Sue Kelly, all of Decatur; brother, Gerald Morrison (Esther) of Florida; grandchildren, Penny (Doug) McCullough and Don Kelly; great grandchildren, Corinna (Mike) Lee, Kellie (Montana) Morrow, Kimberly McCullough, and Christina McCullough; great great grandchildren, Michael, Noah, Cheyenne, and Shelby.He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers. "
