CUSTOM DEATH NOTICE Jack B. McKinley, 86, of Decatur, IL, died at 3:31 PM, Thursday, March 12, 2009 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.A memorial Mass will be held 12:00 noon, Wednesday, March 18, 2009, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Decatur, IL with visitation held one hour prior to services at the church. Burial of cremains will be at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Holy Family Catholic Church, and National Jewish Hospital of Denver, CO.Jack was born June 16, 1922 in Decatur, IL, the son of Bernard H. and Margaret (Wykoff) McKinley. On October 13, 1956 he married Martha Hettinger in Decatur, IL.Jack was Vice President of the Claims Department for Federal Kemper Insurance Company. He was a WWII Army Veteran. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and a former member of the Elks Club. He enjoyed Ham Radio and working on the computer. Jack graduated from Millikin University with a Business Administration Degree and was also a graduate of the University of Idaho with a Law Degree. He was a member of the Illinois Bar Association. Jack enjoyed spending time with his grandsons, Kory and Kyle.He is survived by his wife, Martha of 52 years; children Kathy Fenton and husband Kenny of Decatur, IL; Mike McKinley of Qunicy, IL; grandchildren Kory and Kyle Fenton; brother Raymond (Skip) McKinley of CO; and several nieces and nephews.The family wishes to thank Fairhavens Christian Home for the love and care they gave him during his final days.He was preceded in death by his parents and brother William McKinley.
