Jack V. Lewis, 72, of Decatur, IL, passed away Sunday, May 24, 2015, at his residence. Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, May 29, 2015, at Moundford Free Methodist Church with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Memorials may be made to Twinless Twins Support Group International at www.twinlesstwins.org. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements. Jack was born May 29, 1942 in Monticello, IL, the son of William H. and Mary (Harl) Lewis. He was a professional truck driver and worked for ABF Freight Systems, retiring in 2004. Prior to truck driving, he worked at the General Electric plant in Decatur. Jack was an avid N.A.S.C.A.R. fan and Jimmy Johnson was his favorite driver. He also was an avid John Wayne fan, enjoyed cooking, fishing, and supported many charitable causes. He is survived by his daughters Justine "Tina" Lewis of Decatur, IL, Debbie Steele of Key West, FL, Terry (Kurt) Lewis-Foor, Tonya Doran of South Carolina; son Mike Lewis of Decatur; brother Tom Lewis of Missouri; special friends Linda Robinson of Mt. Zion, IL, Mike Day of Tulsa, Oklahoma, PeeWee Higgins of Pana, IL; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his twin daughter Sherry Lewis, step-son Troy Johnson, 4 brothers and 1 sister. The family would like to give special thanks to DMH Cancer Care Center, DMH Hospice Care and Linda Robinson for their wonderful care and compassion shown to Jack. "
