Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Monday, March 1, 2010, at First Church of the Nazarene, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Sunday, February 28, 2010, at the church. Burial will be in Wheeler Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to First Church of the Nazarene, 1177 W. Hickory Point Rd., Decatur, IL 62526.Jack was born July 7, 1927, in Oakley, IL, the son of Alanzo and Daisy (Hackney) Henon Buxton. He married Violet Lucas on April 14, 1950 in Decatur, IL.Jack was a member of First Church of the Nazarene. He worked at Norfolk & Southern Railroad as a carman for 41 years before retiring in 1989. Jack enjoyed gardening and traveling with his wife.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Violet of Oreana, IL; son Ricky Thomas Henon and wife Paula Jean of Decatur, IL; daughter Vicky Evans of Oreana, IL; three granddaughters, and one great grandson; sister Delores Gregg of Maroa, IL.He was preceded in death by his parents and one son and son-in-law.
