Jack Hartwig

Jack Bramel Hartwig, 73, of Mt. Auburn, IL, died Thursday, August 6, 2015, at his home. Graveside services will be 2:00 P.M. Sunday, August 9, at Berea Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Jack was born November 22, 1941, the son of Russell Victor and Fern (Bramel) Hartwig. He married Marilyn S. Stewart at the Berea Christian Church in Mt. Auburn on September 22, 1962. Marilyn preceded him in death July 28, 2009. Jack farmed all his life, and worked for Podolski Oil Company for many years. He was a member of the Berea Christian Church, and the Mt. Auburn ATA. Jack is survived by his children: Mary Lynn Mann and husband Curt of Mt. Auburn, Tom Hartwig and wife Jan of Niantic; grandchildren: Samantha Becker and husband Chad, Sabrina Hartwig, Abby Mann, and Alex Mann; sister: Alice Kreig of Decatur; brother: John Hartwig of Taylorville. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, brothers George and Richard, and sisters Marilyn Gideon and Sally Thomas. "
