Jack Doore

Jack E. Doore, 80, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2025.

At his request, no services will be held.

Jack was born December 29, 1944 in Decatur, the son of Cecil and Esther (Danford) Doore. He married Linda Harless-Grunden on October 10, 1978 in Las Vegas and she preceded him in death on April 25, 2024. Jack worked as an electrician at AE Staley for over 30 years and later for for IBEW Local 146. In his spare time, he loved setting up booths and attending flea markets.

Surviving are his son, Thomas Doore; step-son, Steven (Jennifer) Grunden; niece, Sherilynn Shelton and several other family members.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Linda; son, Jack Doore, Jr.; brother, Jerry Doore; and sister, Janice Toca.
