Services to celebrate Hamils life will be at 10:00 AM, Saturday, February 5, 2011 at Holy Family Catholic Church with military honors. In lieu of flowers please make donations to The Alzheimer Research Foundation. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Hamil was born on April 21, 1922 in Henryetta OK, the son of James Elmer and Frances (Lamer) Williams. He was a WWII Army/Air Force veteran as a link trainer instructor.Hamil graduated from Oklahoma State University in 1947. He was a member of Theta Kappa Phi fraternity. He then married Joan Rork in Henryetta, OK on July 16, 1955. They have one son and three daughters. They moved to Decatur, IL in 1958 to open Pittsburg Plate Glass Works 14. He continued to work there for 38 years and retired as warehouse supervisor. He was a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church and an active member in the Knights of Columbus. Hamil was very dedicated to his entire family. Wherever they moved or whatever that needed repaired Dad and Mom were there to help. His grandchildren knew him as the best pancake maker.Hamil was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters and three brothers. Hamil leaves behind his loving and devoted wife of 56 years and their children, Frances (Charlie) Kyger of Decatur, IL, J. Rork (Darlene) Williams of Union KY, Lora (Scott) Green of Gypsum, CO, and Christy (John) House of Decatur, IL and five grandchildren, Troy Williams, Hannah and Sam House, and Brandon and Nathan Green.Hamil was a kind, hard working, honest man. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed by everyone whos life he has touched. We were blessed to have Hamil for 88 years and we now find comfort knowing that he is now with his Lord and at peace.The family would like to thank Dr. G. Patel for all his care. We would also like to thank the kind and compassionate staff at Heartland Nursing Home. Without their love and support we would not have gotten through this past year. "
