Iva S "Corky" May of Port Orange, Florida formerly of Oreana, Illinois passed away on Saturday March 23rd, 2019 in his home surrounded by his family at the age of 82. A memorial visitation will be held April 27th, 2019 at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home in Decatur from 11:00-1:00pm with a service immediately following. Corky was born in Morrisonville, Illinois on October 5th, 1936 to Oscar C and B Alice (Williams) May. He grew up in the Milmine and Decatur area. He began working at the age of 16 yrs old at Decatur Foundry retiring in 1999 after almost 50 years of service. During that time he was also a home builder with his brother Jack, and previously owned Professional Housekeepers. Corky was also a member of Life Foursquare Church. He married his wife of 63 years, Betty (Ragsdale) on August 19, 1955. Together they had 3 children, Randy (Jill) of Saukville, Wisconsin, Ric (Cindy) of Terre Haute, Indiana and Robin of Port Orange, Florida. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Aaron, Kirsten, Heather, Tyler, Spencer and Tucker, and 2 great grandchildren Hunter and Liam. He also leaves behind his 2 brothers Albert "Bud" May and Roger May along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jack, a sister Shirley and his granddaughter Whitney Jordan May.
