Irvin C. "Bud" Leach, 94, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 9:48 P.M. on Thursday (12-22-2011) at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday (12-27-2011) at First Christian Church, 3350 N. MacArthur Rd., Decatur, IL, with visitation on Monday (12-26-2011) from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at First Christian Church. Burial will be held at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL, with military graveside rites by the Macon County Honor Guard. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL are handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: First Christian Church or Macon Resources. Bud was born on August 25, 1917 in Maroa, IL, the son of Emmett and Ella (Miller) Leach. He married Wilma Mohr on March 14, 1942 in Decatur, IL. He was a member of First Christian Church, where he was an elder and Sunday School teacher. For seventy years, Bud and Wilma were members of the Friendly Bible Class. He was also on the church bowling team. Bud was a WWII veteran and taught automotive repair while in the service. He worked at the Uptown Garage in his early years and then he was the owner of I .C. "Bud" Leach Garage retiring in 1983. Bud collected and enjoyed antique cars. He also enjoyed camping and fishing. He is survived by his wife Wilma of sixty nine years of marriage; son Richard Leach and wife Lisa; daughter Cheryl Banning and husband David, all of Decatur, IL; sister: Rosalie Paceley of Phoenix, AZ; three grandchildren: Kimberly Banning, Timothy Leach, and Sarah Leach; and one great-granddaughter: Elsie Leach; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Leonard Leach, Harold Leach, and Arthur Leach; and one sister: Eleanor Kirby. "
