Irmgard Sarko

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 6-8 p.m. Monday, August 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL.Irmgard was born on August 27, 1938, in Mainz/Mombach, Germany, the daughter of Heinz and Anna Marie (Funk) Delnef. She married Fred M. Sarko on October 4, 1963 in Mainz/Mombach, Germany.Irmgard loved the Lord and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed playing Bunco, Bingo, playing Yahtzee with her husband, and having coffee with her friends at Diamonds restaurant.Surviving are her husband of 47 years Fred of Warrensburg, IL; son Robert M. Sarko and wife Debbie of Warrensburg, IL; daughter Mary E. Sarko of Newport Ritchie, FL; grandchildren Paul M. Baker and wife Samantha, Crystal Lynn Gordon, Kyle M. Sarko, all of Decatur, Hanna M. Sarko of Warrensburg, Jenniffer D. Cotton of Decatur; great-grandchildren Adam M. Gordon, Aaron M. Gordon, Pierson M. Baker, and Anniah J. Davis, all of Decatur, Mariah Slaughter, Markus Deel, both of Atwood, IL; and sisters Eva, Ria, and Minnie, all of Mainz, Germany.Irmgard was preceded in death by her parents, and seven brothers and sisters.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
