Iris Moore

Iris Moore, 86, of Niantic, IL, passed away at 3:35 a.m. Sunday, April 5, 2015, in her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 8, at Niantic Christian Church, with visitation one hour prior to services at the church, and also from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Long Point Cemetery, Niantic, IL. Memorials may be made to: Niantic Christian Church. Iris was born November 5, 1928, in Lexington, IL, the daughter of J.D. and Lola (Atkins) Trent. She married Charles Moore on October 15, 1950, at Niantic Christian Church. He preceded her in death on October 28, 1990. Iris was a member of Niantic Christian Church, Eastern Star and the Wells Club. She enjoyed golfing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her family, and had a servants heart for many people. Iris was secretary to the administrator at Decatur & Macon County Hospital, and later, was a loving homemaker for her family. Surviving are her son: Craig Moore and wife Debbie of Niantic, IL; daughter: Dawn Eckhart and husband Kevin of Houston, TX; grandchildren: Trent Moore and wife Angela, Drew Moore and wife Kristin, Emily Mabry and husband Justin, Scott Eckhart and wife Katie, Austin Eckhart, and Erik Eckhart; great-grandchildren: Daniel and Lily Moore. Also surviving are special niece: Madeline Craycroft and husband Aaron, and several other nieces and nephews. Iris was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Phyllis Moore and Margaret Miller. "
