Iris Laskowski

Iris Louise Laskowski, 78, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:25 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, 2015, in her home. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, at Prairie Avenue Christian Church, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to: Prairie Avenue Christian Church. Louise was born January 29, 1937, in St. Elmo, IL, the daughter of Albert and Eleanor (Fletcher) Philbrook. She married Henry Laskowski on March 11, 1960, in Decatur, IL. Louise was a member of Prairie Avenue Christian Church where she served as a Deaconess, treasurer, youth leader, music committee and a choir mom. She worked at H&R Block for 19 years as a tax agent. Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Henry of Decatur, IL; daughter Brenda Meredith of Lincoln, NE; 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren; brothers Edwin (Farrol) of Decatur, IL and Wesley (Sandi) of Enterprise, AL; several nieces and nephews. Louise was preceded in death by her parents, son Mike, brothers Charles and Winston. "
