Mass of Resurrection will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 10, 2010, at Our Lady of the Holy Spirit, 400 White Tail Circle Mt. Zion. Visitation will be held from 9:30 AM til time of service at the church. Luncheon will follow the service at the church. Burial will be 2:00 PM Tuesday at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials: Donors Choice or American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.Irene was born November 4, 1930 in Peoria, IL, the daughter of Claude Emerson and Beatrice Mae (Holloway) Macklin. She married Delphus Joseph (D.J. Butch) Wiegard, August 6, 1949 in Peoria. They enjoyed 61 years of marriage together. Irene was a homemaker in her own home. She was a member of Our Lady of the Holy Spirit, Mt. Zion. She was a volunteer, assisting children with special needs, and was a member of Decatur Memorial Hospital Auxillary.Irene is survived by her husband, Butch; four children Patricia Ann Cook of Warrensburg, Ronald Albert Wiegard of Tavares, FL, Janice Sue Carder and husband Mark of Decatur, Christine Joann Grupe and husband Keith of Oakwood, IL; one sister Thelma Rennie of East Peoria; 11 grandchildren Jason Wiegard and wife Suzie, Laura Wiegard, Christa Garcia, Bryan Cook, Amie Knapp and husband Kevin, Beth Cook, Ryan Carder, Rachel Carder, Danny Gephart and Alicia Helmick and husband Josh and 21 great grandchildren..Irene was preceded in death by her parents, one sister two brothers and granddaughter Christy Gephart.Irene loved the Lord and her family. She was thought of as the family cheerleader, always supportive, always loving, always there for everyone.Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is assisting the family with the arrangements "
