Imogene Hale

Imogene Hale, 87, of La Place, IL, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2014, at The Arthur Home, Arthur, IL. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 25, at La Place Cemetery, La Place, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Cerro Gordo, IL, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Please send memorials to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Imogene was born May 16, 1927, in La Place, IL, the daughter of Wayne and Evelyn LeHew. She married Edwin Linden "Pete" Hale on September 26, 1946, in Decatur, IL. Together they built a home in 1948 where she lived until 2012. Imogene was a homemaker who loved being a wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her children: Dennis (Iris) Hale of Oakley, IL and Diane Dowd of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Timothy Shawn Dowd, Warren Hale, Jami Fawley, Janice Rolofson, Christopher Dowd, and Eric Hale; nine great-grandchildren; and sister: Ann Meyer of Sullivan, IL. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Ted LeHew. The family would like to thank the staff at The Arthur Home where Imogene lived for the past two years. "
