Imogene F. Brown, 97, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:50 p.m. Saturday, June 4, 2016 at McKinley Court Care Center. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at First United Methodist Church, Decatur, with a Memorial visitation one hour prior to services. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Memorials may be given to First United Methodist Church. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family. Imogene was born February 27, 1919 in Wabash, IN, the daughter of Raymond L. and Lulu O. (Beasley) Fletcher. She married Ira H. Brown on April 6, 1941, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1988. Imogene was a member of First United Methodist Church. She provided many programs for United Methodist Women and Church Women United. She also participated in the PTA Chorus under the direction of Morris Noland. Surviving are her son: William A. Brown and wife Katherine of Decatur, IL; daughter: Susan L. Sallas and husband Michael of Jupiter, FL; son: Steven H. Brown and wife Barb of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren: Leah K. Hinkle (Jerry) of Decatur, IL, Matt Sallas (Nicole) of West Palm Beach, FL, Adam Sallas (Jenn) of Jupiter, FL, Jessica Boyd (Jacob) of Bloomington, IL, Molly Brown (Rory) of Bloomington, IL, Libby Sinatra (Steve) of Coconut Creek, FL; great-grandchildren: Jimmy Hinkle, Caden Sallas, Kalia Sallas, Royce Boyd, Hill Boyd, Amanda Sinatra, and Danielle Sinatra. Imogene was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ira, son Roger, sister Zelma Held, brother Wayne Fletcher, and nephew Jack Held. The family wishes to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of McKinley Court for the loving care given to Imogene. "
