Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, July 15, 2010, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, July 14, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Illini Cemetery. Memorials may be made to American Diabetes Association.Gary was born December 16, 1943, in Danville, IL, the son of Glenn and Margaret (Matthews) Hughes. He married Gail Magin on October 22, 1966 in Danville, IL.Gary worked at Essex Wire from 1978 until 2005, retiring as Manager of Production Systems.He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Gail of Warrensburg, IL; daughter Gina Krigbaum and husband Tom of Decatur, IL; son Greg Hughes of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren Jakob and Jarod Krigbaum and Rowan Eubanks.He was preceded in death by his parents.He really enjoyed spending time with family and friends, especially his grandkids.
