CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEHoward Leslie Erwin, 78, of Decatur, passed away Thursday, October 23, 2008, at Fair Havens Christian Home.Following Howards wishes, there will be no visitation or service. There will be a private family interment at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Foundation or Fair Havens Christian Home. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Howard was born in Louisville, IL, the son of Crawford Leslie Erwin and Beulah May (Callison) Erwin. He married Ethel Wickline on April 23, 1948. She preceded him in death in January of 1978.Howard worked many years for, and retired from, Caterpillar Tractor.Surviving are his children: Sandy (Jerry) Durflinger of Mt. Auburn, Pat Evans of Maroa, Joyce (Robert) Walters of Decatur, and Rick (Tina) Erwin of Decatur.
