Herbert Hagan

Herbert D. Hagan, 88, of Decatur, IL, died 11:40 A.M., Tuesday, October 16, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Funeral Services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, October 19, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Catholic Church. Herbert was born June 16, 1924 in Tompkinsville, KY. He married Dorothy Ann Tapscott in October 1998 in Decatur, IL. She preceded him in death. Herbert was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, V.F. W., and the American Legion. He worked for Spector Freight as a truck driver, enjoyed bowling, baseball, and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Herbert was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in WWII. He is survived by his children Linda Baldwin of Center, TX, Donna Faye Welch and husband Jack of Beason, IL, Sally Carol Rouch and husband Tom of Elkhart, IN, Lonnie Denton and wife Wan of Shirts, TX; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy, one son, one son-in-law, two sisters, and five brothers. "
