Henry "Hank" Hockaday, 69, of Bethany, IL, went to be with our Lord at 5:54 p.m. Thursday, August 9, 2012 after a long battle with heart disease. Funeral services to celebrate Hanks life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 14, at West Decatur Church of God with Pastor James M. Baldwin, Sr. officiating. Visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Monday, August 13 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be at Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL. If so desired, in lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to West Decatur Church of God. Hank was born May 27, 1943, in Decatur, IL, the son of Henry Lehman and Nola (McCoy) Hockaday. He married Teresa Hadley on August 1st, 1965, in Decatur. During his life, he was a factory worker, farmer, carpenter, surveyor, semi driver, warehouse worker, and a cowboy in South Dakota which he loved the most. He enjoyed riding horses, hunting, shooting, sports, wood crafts, and leather crafts. Surviving are his loving wife of over 47 years, Teresa Hadley Hockaday; son Michael and wife Tera; son Kenneth; granddaughter Madison; grandsons Trent, Alex, and Cody; sisters Jean Schaub and husband Bob, Mary Ellen Silver, Elsie Westerman and husband Don; 3 sisters-in-law, 4 brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews. Hank was a loving husband, father and grandfather who touched the lives of many people. "
