Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Friday, February 25, 2011, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 5 to 7 P.M., Thursday, February 24, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL and one hour prior to service time at the church on Friday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church Building Fund or D.M.H. Hospice.Henry was born October 6, 1920, in Pocahontas, IL, the son of James Lewis and Lonnie May (File) Cochran. He married Leona Fern Dick on September 28, 1941 in Bethany, IL. Henry was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church. He graduated from Bethel Bible College in McKenzie, TN and was pastor in two Cumberland Presbyterian Churches in Greenville, IL. Henry was a boilermaker for over 30 years and loved working as a welder. He also loved to garden and enjoyed watching his grandbabies. Henry was an avid Illini Basketball fan. He was a U.S. Army veteran, lifetime member of the American Legion and member of Boilermaker Local #363.He is survived by his children Galene Wilcott of Springfield, IL, James Cochran and wife Diana of Springfield, IL, Betty Roche and husband Mike of Decatur, IL; 9 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, infant son, wife, and sister Nellie Dowers.The family would like to give special thanks to Abby Ware & Linda Proctor for their loving care and devotion, and to Hospice, Gail, Diane, Tina & Leslie for their special love during dads last days. "
