Mrs. Helen Dalton Woare, of Decatur, IL, died Sat., June 15, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital, Decatur, IL. Memorial services will be held at Westminster Presbyterian Church, Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00AM. Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Helen was born Jan. 22, 1920 at Paul, Idaho a daughter of James A. & Effa Drew Brown. After meeting Jack Dalton while attending Millikin University, they were married on April 29, 1944 in Chicago, IL.. He preceded her in death June 30, 1994. She later married Edward Woare on Sept. 12, 1998 in Decatur, IL and he survives her. Mrs. Woare was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Country Club of Decatur, member and Past President of the Decatur Garden Club. She had an "insatiable curiosity" about many things, especially history and biography. She was an extensive volunteer at Westminster Presbyterian Church, enjoyed flower arranging, gardening, knitting, needlework, and antique collecting. Helen enjoyed all things of beauty, and surrounded herself with many of them. Surviving are her husband: Edward, two daughters; Mrs. Jackie Reid and her husband Vern of Chandler, Arizona and Marilee Peters and husband Brian of Decatur, IL; . grandson; Hal Reid of Phoenix, Arizona. step-son; Ed Woare and wife Karen of Decatur, IL; step-daughter; Debbie Bateman and her husband Philip of Decatur, IL and Sandy Poveda and husband Lorenzo of Springfield, IL. Mrs. Woare was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter; Linda, and two sisters. Memorials: Westminster Presbyterian Church, or Homeward Bound. "
