Visitation will be held on Thursday (10-28-2010) from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to McKinley Court Nursing Home.Helen was born in Carrolltown, PA,on September 11, 1916, the daughter of Sylvester and Emma (Zern) Bearer. She married Zolty Solma on February 1, 1940. He preceded her in death in September of 2001.Helen was a Registered Nurse and also a homemaker in her own home. She was an avid Crossword Puzzler, she also knitted and crocheted and loved bingo.She is survived by her daughter: Patricia Gerson of Decatur, IL.; grand-children: Stephen Gerson and wife Susan of Greenwich, CT., Scott Gerson and wife Kristie of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Stacey Curtiss and husband Darin of Bayonne, NJ., and six great-grandchildren.Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters, and two brothers.
