Helen Maxine Morrow, 96, of Decatur, went home to be with Jesus at 9:55 A.M., Friday December 29, 2017 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation from 11:00 A.M. until service time. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to the Water Street Mission, 758 N Water St, Decatur, IL 62523.Maxine was born on November 5th, 1921 in Boody, IL, the daughter of Grover and Edith (Keller) Moore. She married Leland Wayne Morrow on May 26, 1946 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death.Maxine was a switchboard operator at Illinois Bell. She was a lay minister with Stephen Ministries, led Bible studies, was an active Christian, a member of Joy Community Church, and was also an avid birdwatcher.Maxine is survived by her children: Bev (Dirk) Shelton, Les (Suzi) Morrow, Keith (Mary) Morrow, Jenny (Tim) Littrell, and Mick Morrow; grandchildren: Derrick McFarland, Ramlah McFarland, Lucas McFarland, Kaitie (Emitt) Grimes, David Shelton, Rhody (Tina) Morrow, Jesse Morrow, Amber Morrow, Brittany (John) Jeska, Ashley (Jonathan) Offermann, Wesley (Mandi) Littrell, Melissa (Jason) Prosser, Emily (Colton) Bray, and Austin Morrow; twenty great -grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter-in-law Debbie Morrow, three sisters- Marion Moore, Margaret Varvel, and Donna Haffner, and one brother Dellis Moore.
