Helen Hufford

Helen Irene Hufford, 97, of Decatur passed away July 3, 2017 at Mason Point, Sullivan, IL. A private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur is assisting the family with arrangements. Helen was born November 17, 1919 in Deland, IL, the daughter of Harold Joel and Rosa Belle (McGuire) Churchill. She married Franklin Eldon Hufford September 21, 1936 and he preceded her in death July 20, 1991. Helen loved spending time with family. She was a member of the D.A.R. and Central Christian Church and Commodore Decatur Yacht Club. She is survived by her 3 children Beverly Hufford Neureuther of Decatur, Gary Eldon Hufford of Largo, FL, and Eric K. Hufford of Decatur; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Helen was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eldon; and one sister, Jean Harris. The family would like to give special thanks to Mason Point Nursing Home and staff for the loving care given to Helen. "
