Helen Fields

Helen Minnie Fields, 89, of Decatur, IL, passed away Friday, October 14, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 18, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 5-7 p.m. Monday, October 17, at the funeral home. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur. Memorials may be made to First Christian Church. Helen was born April 15, 1922, in Farrenburg, Missouri, the daughter of Enoch Elmer and Viola Ann (McFadden) Eby. She married Wilson Robert Fields on August 25, 1946, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 4, 2005. Helen was a member of First Christian Church in Decatur. Surviving are her son Michael Wilson Fields and wife Linda of Decatur, IL; grandsons Jeffry Michael Fields and wife Tara of Kansas City, MO and Christopher Robert Fields of Decatur, IL. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Lillian Weaks, and brothers Elmer, Louis, Calvin, and James Eby. "
