Helen Lucille Etchison, 94, of Decatur, IL., passed away on November 8, 2008 at 1:12 P.M. in Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday (11-11-2008) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL.; with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Graceland Cemetery Decatur, IL. Officiating the service will be Helens grandson Rev. Todd Smith. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: The American Heart Association.Helen was born on February 27, 1914 in Clinton, IL., the daughter of Clinton F. Bauman and Cora E. Bauman. She married George R. Etchison in September of 1932. He preceded her in death on August 31, 1978.She was a member of Woodland Chapel Presbyterian Church.Helen is survived by her two daughters: Caroline Smith of Decatur, IL. and Judy Arnold and husband Richard of Decatur, IL.; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son- George William Etchison, one brother , one sister and a special nephew.
