Funeral services will be at Brintlinger and Earl Cerro Gordo Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, on Sunday, October 11, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or a charity of the Donors Choice.Helen was born March 10, 1920, in Forest City, Iowa, the daughter of Jacob and Ina (Shinneman) Taylor. Helen devoted her life to giving loving care to Brenda, her special needs daughter. She was a secretary at I.S.U. for 19 years, retiring in 1985. Helen was a fabulous seamstress and enjoyed making blankets for her grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Brenda Dunn of Bloomington, IL, Barbara (Dave) Falk of Bettendorf, IA, Carol (Fred) Eagan of Lexington, IL; grandchildren Carla DeWaay, Blake Collins, Brent Collins, Patrick Eagan, Andrea Eagan; 7 great grandchildren; brothers Robert (Phyllis) Taylor of Bement, IL, Warren (Eileen) Taylor of Monticello, IL; sisters Donna Jean Bell of Chardon, OH, Juanita (Richard) Flaugher of Cerro Gordo, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents and 4 brothers.
