Funeral services will be 10 AM Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be 2:30 PM Thursday, February 24, 2011 at the Horse Prairie Cemetery in Sesser, IL.Memorials: First Free Will Baptist Church.Helen was born Dec 12, 1915 in Sesser, IL the daughter of Archie and Lula (Vaughn) Spann.On October 10, 1938 in Morgansfield, KY, she married Herbert Denzel Cockrum. He preceded her in death April 29, 2006.Helen was a homemaker in her own home. She was also a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.Surviving are two children, Marilyn Drabing of Decatur, Sharon Handlin of Delphi, IN; sister, Viva (Paul) Morgan of Jupiter, FL; 4 grandchildren, Michael (Linda) Drabing of Decatur, IL, Robert Drabing of Decatur, IL, Barbara (Darren) Huntting of Arizona, Dirk (Angie) Handlin of South Bend, IN; 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.Helen was also preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers, Lois Red, Ernest Cotton, Marion Lee Tubby; 3 sisters, Zella, Pearl, and Pauline.
