Helen Beals

Helen A. Beals, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at McKinley Court Care Center. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 4, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services, at the funeral home. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL. Memorials may be made to charity of donor’s choice. Helen was born June 5, 1924, in Lane, IL, the daughter of Albert and Bertha Smith. She married Clifford C. Beals on April 8, 1950, in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on April 22, 2012. Helen worked for G.E. for 10 years. She enjoyed painting and loved to travel and camping. Surviving are her children: Wendell Hollingsead, Dianna Lugari and husband Ronald, Carol Morville, all of Decatur, IL, Bud Hollingsead and wife Nancy of Forsyth, IL, Pam Randol of Decatur, IL, Steve Beals, Kim, of Decatur, IL; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Martha Smith of Clinton, IL. Helen was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter DeAnn, great-grandsons Matthew and Korey, great-granddaughter Kaitlyn, sister Edna, and brother Roy. "
