Harriet Ruth Handley Rambo, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 7:55 a.m. in her home. Memorial services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 15, at Concordia Lutheran Church. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Monday, July 14, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Ramsey, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to L.S.A. (Lutheran School Association) or Concordia Lutheran Church. Ruth was born February 4, 1927, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Carmen R. and Iola Fern (Craig) Carroll. She married Clayton L. Handley on July 5, 1958, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on November 2, 2003. She later married Dan Rambo on February 11, 2007, in Decatur. Ruth was a member of Concordia Lutheran Church and also a retired R.N. from St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are her husband Dan Rambo of Decatur; daughters: Marsha E. Cooper and husband Steve of Decatur, IL, Elizabeth R. Otto and husband Bryan of Columbia, S.C., June E. Connette of Belleville, N.C., Evelyn C. Tuttle of La Place, IL; step-daughter: Pam Hinton and husband Glen of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Steffanie Saunders (Christian), Clayton Otto (Hannah Fullwood), Maggie Otto, Tucker Connette, Doug Tuttle, and Emma Tuttle; step-grandchildren: Ryan Cooper, Kriss Henry (Greg), Erin Basil (Tom), Danielle Seider (Chris), and Jordan Hinton; five great-step-grandchildren; brothers: Charles Carroll Nokomis, IL, Edward Carroll of Albany, IN, Rex Carroll and wife Janet of Ramsey, IL, Lynn Carroll and wife Sheila of Oconee, IL; sister: La Wanda Anderson and husband Dean of Nokomis, IL. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, three sisters, and son-in-law Herb Tuttle. "
