Harold Robert "Bob" Schubert, 75, of Mt. Zion, IL, passed away at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at Heartland Healthcare. He courageously battled Posterior Cortical Atrophy for the past eighteen months. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 16, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur. Bob was born October 16, 1939, in Vandalia, IL, the son of Harry Martin and Emma Hulda (Wodtke) Schubert. He married Patricia Wickline on June 14, 2005, in Honolulu, HI. Bob retired from Caterpillar. He enjoyed reading and traveling. Bob was an avid sportsman and a member of the Gun Club of Taylorville. Surviving are his wife Patricia of Mt. Zion, IL; son Robert Joseph Schubert; step children Natalie (Jerry) Stocks of Mt. Zion, IL, Nathan Wickline of Macon, GA, Nicole Wickline of Mt. Zion, IL; grandson Haiden Stocks; brother Ron (Shirley) Schubert of Imperial, MO; In-laws Dennis and Janet Lawton of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law Cathy (Jim) Stalker; and brother-in-law Randall (Kathy) Spaugh. Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law Gary Spaugh. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
