Robinson, 84, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 6:15 A.M., Sunday, July 31, 2011, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Services to celebrate Harold's life will be 10:00 A.M., Thursday, August 4, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 5 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, August 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in LaPlace Cemetery, LaPlace, IL. Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church or Donor's Choice. Harold was born August 14, 1926, in Lintner, IL, the son of Irl and Bernice (Duncan) Robinson. He married Bessie Dean (Penny) Kerwood on January 12, 1947 in Decatur, IL. Harold was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was a life long farmer and an active member of the Piatt County Farm Bureau and the LaPlace Elevator Board. He and his wife were "snowbirds", enjoying their travels to Florida for the winters and loved going on cruises. He enjoyed time spent with his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Penny of Decatur, IL; daughter Cindy (Flip) Szold of San Diego, CA; son Steve Robinson (Andrew) of Bradenton, FL; daughter Debi Smith (Jeff) of Forsyth, IL; daughter-in-law Christina Robinson of Warrensburg, IL; six grandchildren Gina (Guy) Boccia, Adam York, Shane (Kristin) Robinson, Brook (Kale) Warnhoff, Nick (Brook) Conner, Andrea (Chris) Gillmar; 4 great grandchildren; siblings Ruby Hendrix of Monticello, IL and Mildred (Wayne) Bohlen of Decatur, IL.
