Harold D. Newsham, 90, of Decatur, IL., passed away on Saturday (03-19-2016) at 6:30 P.M. at Symphony of Decatur.Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday (03-22-2016) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL.Memorials may be made to: Grace United Methodist Church.Harold was born on September 22, 1925 in Macon, IL., the son of William Walter Newsham and Nona Belle (March) Newsham. He married Mary Alice Muirheid on June 20, 1948 in Decatur, IL.Harold worked in the accounting department at Illinois Power. He also worked at Sunshine Dairy for 25 years and at Taylor Pharmaceutical for 5 years. Harold loved to play the piano for nursing homes, St. Mary’s Hospital Day Care, Keystone Meadows, Tangelwood, and Victoria Woods. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, the M&M Sunday School Class, and Elks Lodge #401 Lifetime Member.He is survived by his wife of nearly 68 years of marriage Mary Alice, Daughter: Diana Gay Bolin and husband Robert, Two grandsons: Jeff Bolin and wife Veronica and Eric Bolin, Three great-grandchildren: Karis, Nathan, and Jonny Bolin, all family of Decatur, IL.Harold was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters: Lois Shepherd, Olive Shepherd, and Wilma Reedy.
