Harold H. Miller, 89, of Forsyth, IL, passed away at 10:33 p.m. Saturday, July 18, 2015, at Decatur Primrose. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, July 23 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 4-8 P.M. Wednesday, July 22 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL, with military rites conducted by Macon County Honor Guard. Memorials may be made to: Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society. Harold was born August 24, 1925, in Decatur, IL, son of Ray and Cleda (Miller) Miller. He married Peggy L. Sullivan in 1972, in Decatur. She preceded him in death in 1998. Harold was a member of Life Foursquare Church. He worked 32 years for the Decatur Police Department, retiring in 1985. Harold was in the U.S. Marine Corp during WWII and was in on the Invasion of Iwo Jima. He was a member of Decatur Elks, Moose Lodge, and was a life time member of American Legion Post 105. Surviving are his sons: Dennis (Lois) Miller of Decatur, Stephen (Sheryl) Miller of Leesburg, FL; three grandchildren; five great grandchildren; stepsons Carl (Lisa) Drake of Fenton, MO, Mitchell (Jayne) Drake of Rockford, IL; two step-grandchildren; and sister Betty Miller of Decatur, IL. Harold was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Joyce, wife Peggy, and brother Lester. "
