Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Arthur Cemetery, Arthur, IL.Harold was born September 13, 1909, in Stonington, the eldest of twelve children, of Rollie Alexander and Cecile Beatrice (Britton) Anderson. He married Nola Warthman. She preceded him in death in 1995. He later married Edna Mae Boyd-Kopp on December 15, 1995, in the Decatur area. Harold served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. After their marriage, in 1949, Harold and Nola moved to Los Angeles, CA. They lived there for 3 years. Harold worked in the school system in Azusa, CA as an assistant to the principal for the 4th-6th grades. Out of five men, Harold was selected for that position. Harold retired from that position in 1975, and in1977 left California. He and Nola moved to Mesa, AZ where they owned and operated a restaurant. In 1989, they moved back to Illinois and opened a restaurant in Arcola.Surviving are his wife of 13 years, Edna Mae Anderson of Decatur; nieces Lynda D.(Reedy) Hellebusch and husband Robert of Weldon Springs, MO, Susan Lieth and husband Robert of S.C., Patricia Martin and husband Herb, and many friends and acquaintances.Harold was preceded in death by his parents, first wife Nola, four brothers, and seven sisters.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
