Gregory Todd “Greg” Cearlock, 56, of Decatur, passed away peacefully on November 20, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Private Family services will be held. A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 PM, Monday, November 23, 2020 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Due to current mitigations, crowd size will be limited to 10 at one time, masks will be required and all CDC guidance will be followed. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Greg’s honor may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Greg was born May 21, 1964 in Taylorville, the son of Larry and Lorene (Culumber) Cearlock. He proudly served our country in the US Navy. Greg married Susan Foley on December 8, 1997 in Decatur. He worked for Prairie Farms Dairy, Farm and Fleet and ADM. Greg enjoyed fishing, woodworking, home improvement and gardening. He was a member of the Teamster’s and 1st Church of the Nazarene in Decatur. He is survived by his father, Larry (Pam) Cearlock; wife of 23 years, Susan; daughter: Sydnee Cearlock (Angel Lujan) of Denver, CO; stepdaughter, Bobbi Eddinger (Jason) of Decatur; step-granddaughter: Bianca Broedel; brothers: Eric Cearlock (Marilyn), Kirk Cearlock, and Neil Cearlock, all of Decatur; and many nieces and a nephew. Greg was preceded in death by his mother, Lorene Cearlock; stepson: PJ Broedel; and beloved grandmother, Irene Culumber. Greg’s family wishes to extend a special thank you for the amazing care of Dr. Sebastien Kairouz and the nurses and staff at Cancer Care Specialists; the wonderful compassion of Dr. Moore; and the loving care provided by Becky and the nurses of Harbor Light Hospice. Your dedication to Greg’s care is greatly appreciated.
