Grace Mesnard

Grace Hannah Mesnard, 87, of Decatur, died December 3, 2011 at her residence. Funeral services will be 1 PM Wednesday, December 7, 2011 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at Friends Creek Cemetery in Argenta, IL. Memorials: First Baptist Church. Grace was born Jan 14, 1924 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of William and Anna Marguerite (Shephard) Nelson. She married D. Dean Mesnard, Sr. on November 18, 1945 in Decatur, IL. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess,and was a member of various circle groups. A member of Kiwanienne Club, a volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital, G-Key Club, Quilting Club, and served as a cub scout leader. She also enjoyed being a pen pal for children overseas and locally. Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Dean Sr.,children Linda Phegley and her husband Denny of Carmel, IN, Dean Mesnard Jr. and his wife Debbie of Forsyth, IL, Kathy Evans and her husband Gary of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen Muir of Virginia Beach, VA; 10 grandchildren and 5 great - grandchildren. Preceding in death are 3 brothers, 3 sisters, and her aunt, Grace Wieland. "
