Gloria Furry

Gloria J. Furry, 69, 17 year breast cancer survivor, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 16, 2010, with her family by her side. She was a lifelong member of West Side Church of the Nazarene, and looked forward to meeting her Savior. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, October 20, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later date in Harristown Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the West Side Church of the Nazarene or Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois.Gloria was born October 11, 1941, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Mac and Virginia (White) Lobb. She married Darrell F. Furry on June 22, 1957, in Decatur, IL. Her greatest joy in life was her family and friends. She enjoyed quilting, cooking and baking for the holidays. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and grams...also a loyal friend. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Darrell of Decatur; daughter April (Butch) Bean of Decatur; son Darrel F. J.R. (Tammy) Furry of Boody; grandchildren Adam (Bobbie) Deetz of Warrensburg, IL, Sunni (John) Deetz of Decatur, Peter (Amanda) Tran of Decatur, Berlin Grace Furry of Boody, IL; great grandchildren Mason, Preston, Christian, Gabriel, Lilian, Kristiona, Christopher, Aiden, and Gracelyn; sister Patricia Colburn of Tucson, AZ; brother Clayton Lobb of AZ; and many nieces and nephews.Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and youngest daughter, Crista Kaye who greeted her in heaven.The family would like to thank Dr. Wade and his staff for all these years of care and dedication.
