Gloria Jean Bryant, 75, of Decatur, passed away November 4, 2024 at her home.

Funeral service will be 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 9, 2024 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Visitation will be 12:00 – 1:00 PM, Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur.

Gloria was born May 29, 1949 in Salem, the daughter of Porter Lou and Pauline Rose (Ferrell) Garrett. She married David M. Bryan on December 9, 1994 and he preceded her in death on February 12, 1997. Gloria worked for many years as a cook at Country Cupboard and was also a caregiver. She enjoyed shooting pool and was a die-hard fan of the Denver Broncos. Gloria loved to cook for her family.

Surviving are her children: Dusty Pickering of Decatur, Angela Garner (Willie) of Decatur, and Jimbo Pickering of Decatur; grandchildren: Brandy, Erica, Holly Tommy Megan, Kristin, Tiffany and Trent; 16 great-grandchildren; and brothers: Michael Garrett, Danny Golf, and Tommy Golf.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husband, David; two sons: Jason Pickering and Eric Pickering; brother, Teddy Golf; and sister, Dixie Garrett.
