Glenn King

Glenn King, 94, of Webster, Florida, formerly of Oakley, died 8:36 AM Friday September 10, 2010 at his residence. A funeral service will be held 10:00 AM Wednesday September 15, 2010 at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo. Visitation will be from 6 - 8 PM Tuesday September 14, 2010 at the funeral home in Cerro Gordo. Burial will be at Lester Barnett Cemetery in Decatur.Memorials: Cerro Gordo Ambulance or to charity of the donors choice.Glenn was born September 4, 1916 in Clay County, TN, the son of Otto Milton and Etta (Hestand) King. He married Dessie Bean on December 26, 1939 in Clinton, Iowa. Mr. King drove a propane truck for many years. While he lived in Oakley, he attended the Oakley Methodist Church.Glenn leaves behind five children Glenna Dorene Smith of Lake Panasoffkee, FL, Linda King of Santa Rosa, CA, Danny King of Decatur, IL, Sherrie Higby of Antioch, CA, Craig King of Chatsworth, GA; two sisters Bertie Lou of Fairfield, IA and Bertha Greenwill of Cookville, TN.Preceding in death are his parents; wife, Dessie; four siblings, Garland King, Eva Copass, Gene King and Ted King.
