Glenn Owen Fuller passed away on April 29, 2018, at the age of 87, with his wife Aileen and son Bryan at his side. Born in Joliet, Glenn is a veteran having served in the US Air Force. He was honorably discharged in 1961. He attended Illinois State University for his undergraduate studies then graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in law. He worked briefly in the Macon County state’s attorney’s office before transitioning to private practice as a criminal defense attorney. He practiced law in Decatur for more than 50 years.Glenn was an avid runner and exercise enthusiast. He strived to eat healthy foods and enjoy life to the fullest. One of his favorite things to do was to help Aileen maintain their vibrant garden. Glenn was also known for his beautiful voice which he used for leading Aileen's family in many Happy Birthday songs. His home and the love of his neighbors was the highlight of his life. He was preceded in death by his father Hiram, and his mother Doris. As a young man he enjoyed many weekends at The Shack, his family's land near the Kankakee River. His father taught him how to drive using a modified tractor which they called the Doodle Bug. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 49 years Aileen, son Bryan W. Fuller of Austin, TX, and daughter Robin R. Fuller and husband Gary of Wisconsin, three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and his younger brother Gary and family of St. Louis, MO.A heartfelt thank you to all those who helped to make Glenn's stay at the Hickory Point Christian Village Rehab Center as comfortable and pleasant as possible. A Celebration of Glenn’s life will be held from 9am to 11am, on Saturday May 5 at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, 2827 N Oakland Ave, Decatur, IL 62526, with a sharing of his life to follow.
