Glenda Grace Trusner, age 80, died peacefully on August 17, 2017, in Plano, TX, where she resided to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Glenda was born January 30, 1937, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Glen and Vera Madonna Dial.A graduate of Decatur High Class of 1955, she began her work career at Illinois Power Company. On May 18, 1957 she married the love of her life, Gary Trusner. They raised their two children, Greg and Lisa. She and Gary remained in her beloved Decatur where they owned and operated Trusner Motors and Car Wash for 50 years. Glenda thoroughly enjoyed making friends in all circles. She was socially active, being a life-time member of the PTA, a librarian at the Decatur Public Library, an avid bowler, and Red Hat Society member.Besides loving the four grandchildren she was blessed with, she loved golf. When she wasn’t visiting her grandchildren, she could be found on the local courses and active in the women’s golf leagues. In the winters Glenda enjoyed travel to Florida with Gary and friends to continue improving her golf game. A consummate mother and homemaker, Glenda was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. She loved playing cards, board games, and decorating for the holidays.Glenda is survived by her son Greg, and his wife Cindy, of Edmond, OK and daughter Lisa, and her husband John, of Plano, TX; her four grandchildren, Erin Trusner of Douglas, OK and Jonathan, Meghan, and Hilary Wallace of Plano, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband Gary Trusner, brothers Clyde and Delmer Dial, and sister Linda Williams.A graveside service is scheduled for 3:00 PM on Saturday August 26th, at the Harristown Cemetery.
