Geraldine “Geri” Peyton, 71, of Decatur, IL, passed away 4:18 p.m., Thursday, December 3, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center, Springfield, IL. Private family funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with public visitation from 10 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Geri was born February 11, 1944 in Logan County, West Virginia, the daughter of Andrew Jackson and Elizabeth (Toler) Mullins. She married James Leroy Peyton in Las Vegas, NV on October 11, 1984. He preceded her in death on May 12, 2004. Geri worked as a Home Healthcare Assistant for over 30 years. She enjoyed camping, especially at Lake Shelbyville and fishing in the Kaskaskia River below the Shelbyville Dam. Geri was a devoted dog owner. She is survived by her children: Richard (Catherine) Donaldson of Decatur, Randy (Vicki) Donaldson of Maroa; step daughters: Tina (Bill) Knowles of Tallahassee, FL, Debbie ( Keith) Hendrickson of Decatur; several grandchildren; sisters: Jo (Larry) Flaugher of Decatur, Jackie Francisco of KY; brother: Curt (Judy) Mullins of IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, 1 sister, and 1 daughter. "
