Geraldine “Gerry” A. Brace, 85, of Decatur, IL, passed away Sunday, August 19th, 2018 at Decatur Memorial Hospital .Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Thursday, August 23rd at Brintlinger& Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Wednesday, August 22nd and one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialist of Central Illinois. Gerry was born January 18, 1933, in Edina, MO, the daughter of Frederick and Marie (Goodwin) Prebe. She married the love of her life Richard W. Brace on March 15, 1952 in Cheyenne, WY.Mrs. Brace was a member of Temple Baptist Church. She worked at Striglos Office Equipment until retiring. She was a past member of the Eastern Star, the American Legion Post 105 and past-President of Women’s Auxiliary.She is survived by her children Michael (Mary Jo) Brace of Decatur, IL, Brian (Juanita) Brace of Tuscola, IL, Kelly (Tara) Brace of Osage Beach, MO; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and a sister Betty Miller and her husband David from Columbia, MO.
