Gerald "Bud" Witham

Gerald L. “Bud” Witham, 91, of Decatur, IL, passed away Dec. 6, 2024.
Bud was born Aug. 24, 1933 in New Berlin, IL, the son of Prentice and Pauline Witham.
He graduated from New Berlin High School in 1951.
Bud married Virginia “Ginny” Fuchs in 1953.
He is survived by his wife, Ginny; daughters Joyce Witham and Janet (Jack) Poland; grandsons Jake (Amanda) Poland, and Justin (Christie) Poland; great-grandchildren Luke, Abby, and Matt Poland; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Delores Kay Smith.
The family would like to thank the nurses, CAN’s, and staff at Lincolnshire and Hospice for their care and support.
Arrangements are under the direction of Brintlinger an Earl Funeral Home, Decatur where visitation will be held on Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 from 11 am until time of the funeral service at 12 Noon. Burial will follow at Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
