CUSTOM DEATH NOTICEGeorge R. Turner, 94, died at 6:13 P.M. on Saturday (05-24-2008) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be held at 10:00AM, Wednesday, May 28, 2008 at Brintlinger Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation from 5:00 until 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at the funeral home, with Masonic Rites at 7:00 P.M. Burial will be held at Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Sharon United Methodist Church or Summit Lodge #431 Warrensburg, IL. George was born on June 28, 1913 in Decatur, IL., the son of George E. Turner and Alta (Winegarner) Turner. He married Faye Meador in July 31, 1933. He married Janet I. Owens on August 19, 1962 in Villa Grove, IL. Both of his wives preceded him in death.He was a member of Sharon United Methodist Church, Past Master of the Summit Lodge #431 A.F. & A.M., Past District Deputy Grand Master of the 13th Eastern District, Ansar Shrine, and the Springfield Consistory. George worked at Mueller Co. for thirty six years as a shipping clerk retiring in 1976.He is survived by 7 nieces and 8 nephews.George was preceded in death by his parents, two wives, four brothers, four sisters, several nieces and nephews, and one special nephew Bill Grandon.
