George Dean Dino Harrison, 50, of Decatur, IL, died 10:50 P.M., Wednesday, July 22, 2009, at his residence after a long battle with colon cancer.Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, July 25 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.Burial will be in Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to Educational Fund for Tabetha Harrison.Dino was born October 30, 1958, in Decatur, IL, the son of George Delbert and Mary Jo (Moore) Harrison. He was a U.S. Army Veteran serving from 1980-1984. Dino married Samantha S. Traughber on May 14, 1995 in Mt. Zion at Spitler Woods State Park, IL. He was a member of Carpenters Local #742 and American Legion Post #105. Dino was an avid fisherman, deer hunter and Mark Martin fan.He is survived by his wife Samantha; daughter Tabetha Michelle Harrison; mother Mary Jo Harrison, all of Decatur, IL; sisters Marcia Nielsen and husband Patric of Decatur, IL, Virginia Dell Harrison of Springfield, IL; brother Darel Gene Harrison and wife Heather of Girard; nephew Michael Howell of Decatur, IL; niece Olivia Harrison of Springfield, IL; great nephew Kayne Howell of Decatur, IL.He was preceded in death by his father George, and grandparents.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
